What you're looking at is a V8. Not just an ordinary V8, mind you. This is a monoblock engine, the brainchild of the sick minds over at Radical extreme sportscars...

Radical Extreme

The make cars for both track and street, originally using high powered motorcycle powerplants for their ridiculous power:weight ratio.

The suzuki Hayabusa has been the king of speed in the motorcycle world for 6 years now, it boasts a 1300cc four cylinder motor sporting 160-170 horsepower.

Busa

These motors, however, are built TOUGH. Guys put turbos on, bore them out, they're well made engines. Horsepower shootouts routinely have turbo hayabusas making over 500 horsepower.

Lots of small volume independant shops use @ 400 horsepower turbo versions to put in things like the new mini.

Radical Extreme Sportscars Actually took TWO 'busa motors, put them together on a common block/crankshaft. This Frankenstein monster makes 360 hp normally aspirated.

They put it in their SR8, the latest incarnation of their ultimate sportscar vision.

Here's the website of their engineering dept, more info there. Imagine a twin turbo version of this beast in, say, a lotus elise. Yeeha!!!
