I try to hike as much as possible, The North Cascade Range alone has over 450 miles of trails. This shot is my wife and I almost cresting the highest point of a great overnighter hike called " Lake Tomyhoi ".

The peak in the background is Mount Baker, the camera's facing almost due south. The hike is well designed, climbing up to a saddle almost exactly 1/2 the total distance, then falls down to a trapped lake, with primitive camp areas.

Returning, you climb for the first half of your day, then descend back to your car.

Excellent views, not a lot of traffic, nice trail, the lake's a good destination to strive for.
