Tony Bongiovi. Audiophile. Recently went into partnership with JVC to produce digital signal processing for your car. What this means is that his chip in your new JVC car stereo "knows" the acoustic environment of your car( your car model has to be loaded into the chip at install), thereby allowing it to make the most of your equipment by altering the audio signals to the speakers to maximize the sound experience.
Said to be so precise that a coupe and a sedan of the same make have different "maps", its getting a lot of positive press. It can also make mid-level equipment sound like much higher-prices stuff, again by altering the output to maximize the envelope. Great idea.
Bongiovi Acoustics has a few movies in their press room tab to explain more in depth.
