So, I recently lost my second camera on a mountain.....
My first F700, was lost during a snowboard trip to Mount Baker here in Wa. Oh well. My replacement, an identical model from Overstock dot com, I received JUST before a trip to Jamaica. Unfortunately, I found out that the flash was inoperable during that trip.

My replacement for the defective model worked admirably for over a year, until I climbed Mount Adams last Friday.

I took many shots, as this was my first experience with true altitude (12,276 ft) and I wanted the memories. Unfortunately, my first experience at glissading caused my camera to be left behind somewhere on one of the snowfields as I descended the mountain. As reclimbing was out of the question, I simply filled out a form at the ranger station, maybe the memory card could be salvaged if found. No much hope, though... a lot of loose rock and melting snow.

So, a replacement. I'd hated the bulk of the Fuji, it wasn't a subtle camera. The Casio Exilim is THIN, has 6 Mp, a big screen, and is reasonably tough. Just over $200.00. Takes SD cards, not the oddball xD the Fuji did.

Liking it so far, I'll post pics taken with it soon.
