Our first hike of the season was two weeks ago, to Annette lake. Short, easy day hike, here are the pics....

Foothills on the I-90 corridor, base of Snoqualmie pass, Washington, roughly 45 min drive East from Seattle. Great views everywhere.

This is an interesting "nurse" tree, where rotting dead stumps nourish new growth.

This flower was near the Annette Lake at the top of the trail, I've never seen the plant before.

One of the scree slopes you traverse on the trail...the last time we were here, they were snow covered and treacherous.

Looking down into the valley.

180 degrees from the last pic, this is looking up the slope towards the top of the hill.

Annette lake..people were swimming this day...too chilly for me.

Fish.

Pretty waterfall/creek/stream.
