Bremerton motorcycle cop injured in crash
BREMERTON, Wash. -- A police officer was injured after crashing his motorcycle into two vehicles on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the collision occurred just after 4:30 near the intersection of 6th Street and Hewitt Avenue.
The officer, trying overtake a vehicle, tried to squeeze in between two cars in an attempt to gain ground. The motorcycle struck both cars and the officer was thrown from the bike.
The officer, 43-year-old Russell L. Holt, was reportedly conscious and breathing when medics arrived. He was taken to Harrison Hospital with minor injuries.
No one else was injured in the crash.
