Someone needs to say something. Really. The news is full of nonsense these days and no one says anything. I just read a story where Mall Santas can no longer say "Ho, Ho, Ho" because "Ho" means something negative in today's language. Then there was another story about how Mall Santas need to lose weight because they set a bad example for young children.
So now we have malls full of skinny Santas saying "Ha, Ha, Ha!" to everyone and destroying the traditional Christmas icons that so many of us grew up with - for no reason at all!
What idiot decided that Santa should be skinny because he might be a bad influence on kids? Step forward. I want to punch you in the face. Don't get me wrong, I'm not prone to violence, but I'm forced to do it because whoever you told the idea to didn't tell you, "That's stupid." Now it has to escalate. So come here, I'm going to punch you in the face and then tell you, "That's stupid."
Don't feel too bad though, you are only first in line. Next up is the idiot who said, "Ho is a bad word now, so Santa will have to say something else now." SMACK. THAT'S STUPID.
Come on people, don't make me have to be the one to get all physical on these people. You could have stopped it before we ever got to this point. All you had to do was SAY SOMETHING. When you hear something that is STUPID - say, "THAT'S STUPID." Usually that will nip it in the bud right there. But if not, go ahead and say, "REALLY, THAT IS STUPID.
ARE YOU STUPID?" If that doesn't work, then send them over and I'll take care of it.
This is the kind of crap that leads to "Family Trees" in the Lowes "Holiday" catalog. Some idiot somewhere very high up in the Lowe's marketing department said, "We don't want to offend anyone and there are several holidays at the end of the year, so lets not call them Christmas Trees, let's call them Family Trees." Now right then and there, someone was thinking - "That's STUPID." You KNOW someone was thinking that. But that person kept their mouth shut and look what happened...
So do your duty. Say those two words. When you hear it, say it - THAT'S STUPID!
