This is a Toyota Prius. Economy car. Small, narrow tires, aesthetically ugly but aerodynamic. Cheap transport that's good on gas. Great on gas, if you believe Toyota's MPG claims. And why shouldn't you??? Toyota has no motive to inflate it's claims, does it???

British car magazine " What Car? " did it's own series of tests. Found the BEST they could get was 52 mpg, Toyota claims 65.7!!!

Now, to be fair to Toyota, the testing doesn't mirror real-world driving conditions, so there's bound to be some discrepancy, but the worst offender was the Prius seen here.
