Ok, tip time. How many times have I been pulling up to a gas station in an unfamiliar car ( you know, rental, buddy's drunk, ride share, joyriding in a stolen whip - the standard reasons) and you think, "I wish I knew what side of the car the damn gas cap was on." There's no standard, no apparent logic. Those crafty guagemakers, though, have thoughtfully included a little telltale on many newer cars. Look carefully, there's a little arrow on the face that gives away the secret of the cap, without performing calisthenics in the sideview mirrors. Something I never knew, now I do. Now you do too.
